Supporting Recruitment and
Workforce Stability in Healthcare
The Cariboo Living Healthcare Landing Program supports physicians,
medical specialists and allied healthcare professionals relocating to
Williams Lake and 100 Mile House through coordinated housing,
transition support, and ongoing community connection.
Working in collaboration with community partners and healthcare
organizations, the program provides structured, relationship-based
support that strengthens early site experience and long-term retention.
How The Program is Delivered
Coordinated Housing
Furnished rentals are coordinated for short-term placements, alongside individualized support in securing long-term housing. Stable accommodation forms the foundation for a smooth arrival and continuity of care.
Community Engagement
Healthcare professionals and their families are supported with orientation, community introductions, and social opportunities. Early familiarity and relationship-building strengthen transition and long-term retention.
Regional Collaboration
The program works in collaboration with healthcare organizations, municipalities, and community partners to align communication, coordinate logistics, and support healthcare workforce stability across the region.
Program Oversight
The Cariboo Living Healthcare Landing Program is led
by Melissa LaPointe and operates in partnership with
the District of 100 Mile House, the City of Williams Lake,
and the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District.
